The Editor's Bit

Another new year is upon us, so here we go with the first Amsterdam Stun of 2016. No Cover Question again this month; it’s one of the Talking Heads from the Amsterdam Light Festival on the Herengracht. As we’ve only got a photo of one head, Elly suggested Soliloquy as a more appropriate title.

Last month’s delivery run didn’t go as well as I’d hoped, I’m still not 100% after my recent illness, so bars on the other side of the Lijnbaansgracht didn’t get any Stuns. This month’s edition is a bit lighter and my stamina is returning, so I hope I do better this time. If not, I’ll have to rethink my strategy. Would anybody like to quote me a price for delivering 1000 magazines to ±60 bars every month?

We haven’t got a Prize Crossword this month, partly because I didn’t rustle up a prize in time. I know there are plenty of generous business owners out there, so why not give your place a bit of extra publicity by donating a prize for our crossword? In return, you’ll get headline billing on the crossword page, name-checks throughout the magazine, on our website, Facebook pages, and who knows, the winner might become a regular customer.

Apart from the crossword, I’ve managed to squeeze all of the usual stuff, like photos from around the bars, jokes, the gig list and Being Frank on Football, into a convenient, lightweight 24 pages, so enjoy your Stun.
