The Editor's Bit

My good friends Gregorio and Elisa took the plunge and got married last month. They held the wedding party in their back garden and I was there, along with a lot of familiar faces from the local music and bar scene. I took loads of photos, so it wasn’t easy picking the ones you can see on pages 20 & 21.

No Cover Competition again this month; it’s Paula (Café Remember) outside Molly Malone’s, where she won the prize for best costume at their Halloween Party last year. She knows it’s going to be a hard act to follow.

I collected Elly’s ashes from the crematorium last month and took her on a final pub crawl. Molly’s was just one of the bars we visited.

On Page Three, I mention that we used to have photos of scantily dressed barmaids in the Stun. Coincidentally, I saw Miranda for the first time in years and we went for a drink in the Magpie, where she reminded me that Elly plied her with vodka jelly before stripping off and becoming our first Stunner, 21 years ago.
