The Editor's Bit

After last month’s cover featuring a statue of Rembrandt, I decided to go with a statue again; there are plenty around Amsterdam to choose from, so it might become a regular feature. It’s also a good opportunity to have another Cover Competition; all you have to do is tell me (contact details on page 2) where the statue on this month’s cover is located by Friday 30th August. I forgot to ask around for a prize, so any correct entries will get an Honourable Mention in this column next month. I’ll try to get a proper prize for the next Cover Competition!
Something that has got a ‘proper’ prize is our annual Premier Predictions League competition, where you can win 2 x €30 vouchers for food & drinks at Coco’s Outback. Full details are on page 23 and you can see how the Stun’s very own football expert thinks the season will finish in “Being Frank On Football” on pages 21 & 22.
Last season’s competition was won by Jude, who moved back to Ireland a few years ago, but he still enters the Stun’s Premier Predictions League every year. He’s got no plans on coming back soon, so he asked me to give his prize to his good friend Aileen, who’s planning a visit to Coco’s Outback with her daughter and best friend, who were also friends of Jude.
A while ago, somebody asked if I’d seen Luke around. I said no because I hadn’t seen him in ages but he was in Susie’s Saloon when I dropped in recently. Emilia (see Page Three) took the photo of us after he bought me a pint... followed by a tequila...
