The Editor's Bit

I’ll kick off this month’s Editor’s Bit by announcing the winner of last month’s Cover Competition. Within hours of the June Stun going online, Alan Sells from Texas correctly identified it as being a statue of Domela Nieuwenhuis on Nassauplein, opposite the entrance to Westerpark, so ‘Big Al’ Sells gets an Honourable Mention!
For this month’s Cover Competition, I went with a suggestion by one of our regular readers; she told me about the Darth Vader statue, but do you know who it really depicts and where you can find it? If you do, let me know and you could be in with a chance of getting an Honourable Mention in the next edition of the Amsterdam Stun.
Most of the day and evening shift bar-staff in Hotel Torenzicht are a bit camera-shy, apart from Anna, which is probably why she agreed with my idea of taking a photo of her holding up the latest Stun with a photo of her holding up the latest Stun with a photo of her... We’ve only just started, but the first one is on Page Three.
Martyn compiled his first Stun Crossword in 1994, and 28 years later, we finally met at a party in Café Havelaar; see page 12.
Parking in Amsterdam is a nightmare, so it was easier for Callum to pick up his prize from our Premier Predictions League competition of €60 in food/drink vouchers from Coco’s Outback at Stun HQ instead of Coco’s.
