The Editor's Bit

The clocks have gone back, it gets dark earlier and I was on my way home from a Halloween party so there was no sunshine on the subject of this month’s Cover Competition, but can you tell me where you can find those two statues? As usual, there’s an Honourable Mention to the first person with the correct answer; contact details are on page 2 or you can tell me in person if you see me in a bar.

It was great to see Denise, the driving force behind The Autonomous ArtisT Scene, at the Stun’s 30th Anniversary Party in Molly Malone’s. It’s quite humbling to be seen as an artist by my peers considering art was one of the subjects I dropped at school.

There were a lot of long time readers at the Stun Party and most of them got to see a younger version of themselves in the slide shows that featured photos from 1993 to 2009, before I started posting them on Facebook!

It was great to see Hayley! She wasn’t working but was at the party so I’m glad it wasn’t just the old fogeys having fun. Photos from the party are on the centre pages.

When I saw Julia and Emilia in Susie’s Saloon, they insisted on me being in the photo with them, which is why it’s here instead of Page Three. One of Emilia’s earliest Stun appearances was Halloween 2009 and those photos are on Facebook!

Sadly, Halloween wasn’t the same this year because of the rugby, so I only went to one party, and that wasn’t enough to fill four more pages; you’ll have to go to the Stun website to see photos from Oporto’s Halloween Party.

That’s it from me for this month; all of our usual stuff is here, so enjoy your November edition of the Amsterdam Stun.
