The Editor's Bit

Last month’s Cover Competition was easy; the golden angel is located on top of the old Noord-Braband insurance building on the corner of Haarlemmerstraat & Singel. The first correct entry came from Wolfling/Heidi so he gets the Honourable Mention. A Special Mention goes to Gezi, who didn’t know about the competition but recognised the angel as soon as I dropped the last Stun into Josélito; it’s across the canal from his tapas restaurant.

For this month’s Cover Competition, we’re still looking up, and we’ve got more golden wings, but where will you find them? The first person to tell me where the wings are will get an Honourable Mention in this column, and maybe a few others will get a Mention if we get multiple entries. Contact details are on page 2, or you can tell me in person if you meet me in a bar, but if that’s the case, make sure I write it down because I can be a bit forgetful.

One competition where we do have a REAL prize is our annual Premier Predictions League, sponsored by Coco’s Outback, with 4 x €15 vouchers for food/drink up for grabs. If you want to be in with a chance of winning, full details are on page 21.

To help you with your entry, our Frank gives his analysis of all 20 teams competing in the English Premier League and predicts the order they will finish this season. That’s quite brave considering he had to write it two weeks before the first ball will be kicked and a month before the transfer window closes. Read all about it in Being Frank on Football, starting on page 18.
